Puig to double the perimeter of its Barcelona headquarters

Puig does it again. Having already doubled the surface area of its New York subsidiary last July, the Spanish fragrance and fashion specialist is doing the same at its Barcelona headquarters.

Founded in 1914, Puig today owns numerous perfume and cosmetics brands and licenses (L’Artisan Parfumeur, Charlotte Tilbury, Uriage, Comme des Garçons Parfums, Christian Louboutin, Benetton, Banderas perfumes, Adolfo Dominguez…) as well as fashion brands Paco Rabanne (recently renamed Rabanne), Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dries Van Noten and Nina Ricci.

And at over 100 years of age, the Spanish family group still clearly has faith in its future: it has just announced the doubling of the surface area of its Spanish headquarters. This represents an even bigger expansion in terms of surface area than the one already completed last July in New York. Puig will be adding a second 21,000 m2, 20-storey tower to its original building.

Double the surface area

On the other side of the Atlantic, the relocation of its subsidiary, and already the doubling of its surface area, had enabled it to reach a total of over 23,000 square meters. But the location could not have been more prestigious. Puig has moved from Madison Avenue to 45 Rockefeller Plaza, on the 32nd floor of the historic Rockefeller Center building.

In Barcelona, the new tower, designed by GCA Architects, will stand alongside the first, at 34 Plaza Europa in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, located between Josep Tarradellas-El Prat airport and the city center. It will be inaugurated in the first quarter of 2024. And it’s sure to stand out with its design of four superimposed cubes encased in glass.

While the first tower accommodates 500 employees (shared functions, brand teams, perfumery center and employees dedicated to the Spanish market), the second will absorb the expanded team of 485 employees dedicated to the operations and innovation centers. And all this with offices capable of adapting to a hybrid working model, versatility and different technological needs.
