As the official timekeeper of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, OMEGA unveils an advertising campaign featuring athletes and Parisian landmarks.
As the days go by, the countdown shortens. In just over a month, the world will have its eyes fixed on Paris, the host city of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On the occasion of this major event, the list of partners includes some very prominent names. Among them, the watchmaking house OMEGA stands out by embodying its role as the official timekeeper of the Games for the 31st time. The Swiss brand, proud of this responsibility, has just unveiled a campaign that celebrates athletes and the historic beauty of the City of Light.
Paris promises to be the stage for exceptional moments with events taking place in the heart of the capital. As structures and stands take over iconic sites such as the Place de la Concorde, OMEGA’s latest campaign imagines a life-sized playground where historic monuments become the backdrop for athletic triumphs. Optical illusions and scale games create stunning visuals where athletes showcase their determination to excel.
To a specially created soundtrack by French rapper SDM, titled “Born to be a Legend,” athletes push their limits to the rhythm of motivating lyrics that invite them to aim for gold. Featuring a wide range of athletes, including sprinter Erriyon Knighton, swimmer Léon Marchand, and the sailing duo of New Zealanders Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, the values of fraternity through sport are given a new light.
The film represents a technical feat in post-production. The athletes were filmed individually in front of green screens before being integrated into the Parisian settings using advanced cameras mounted on robotic arms. The result is a surprising and grand visual experience.
