New appointments to head Capri Holding and John Hardy

Capri Holding, the global luxury fashion group, and John Hardy, a handcrafted jewelry brand, announced yesterday the appointment of their new chief executives.
Capri Holding, which owns Versace, Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo, has appointed Cédric Wilmotte as CEO of Michael Kors, effective April 3.
Cédric Wilmotte was previously COO of Versace, after serving as interim CEO of the fashion house from January to September 2022 and is. Prior to that, he led the Michael Kors EMEA business from its inception in 2008 until 2021. Before joining the Capri Holding group, he already had one foot in fashion, and held various management positions at Marc Jacobs (2004 to 2008) and Donna Karan in New York, London and Milan (from 1998 to 2004).
“I am delighted to welcome Cedric back to the Michael Kors team as our new CEO. Cedric is a strong leader with extensive retail and merchandising experience and a deep understanding of the Michael Kors brand and consumer,” said John Idol, president and CEO of the luxury group.
For his part, the brand’s eponymous designer says he and Cedric Wilmotte share the same vision for the brand.
