Hublot unveils the official clock of the 2022 World Cup

Swiss watchmaker Hublot signs the official countdown clock for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Hublot, the Swiss luxury watch brand, has been the official timekeeper of the World Cup since 2010. In Doha, Qatar, the brand unveiled the official countdown clock during a ceremony attended by many officials and former soccer players like Marcel Desailly.
The countdown is launched for the tournament that will start in one year, on November 21, 2022. It was started by the French winner of the FIFA World Cup and friend of the brand Hublot, the famous Marcel Desailly, joined on stage by the coach Sami Trabelsi and the local ambassador Adel Khamis. The clock is part of an impressive 5.75 meter high sculpture erected on Corniche Fishing Spot, overlooking the waters of the Persian Gulf.
Hublot was the first luxury house to invest in soccer in 2006 and has since timed the FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010, Brazil in 2014, Russia in 2018, and also for Euro 2020 last June-July. The brand is also the official timekeeper of some of the most prestigious soccer clubs in the world, such as Juventus, Chelsea and AFC Ajax. The House can also count among its ambassadors some of the most famous players such as Pele, José Mourinho, Didier Deschamps and the French star striker Kylian Mbappé.
“Only one year to go until kick-off! At the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the world will gather for a festival of soccer like no other. Once again, Hublot is very proud and excited to take on its role as Official Timekeeper of the tournament. It will time every match until the final on December 18, 2022. This is the fourth time that the brand has been granted this immense honor, which will place Hublot on television screens in living rooms around the world,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.
