Burberry announced higher results than expected

 

 

On November 8, the British brand Burberry revealed higher results than expected. The new Riccardo Tisci’s collection is probably the answer to this result. The streetwear collection presented by the designer has enticed everyone during the Fashion Week.

The group announced an increase of 42% of its benefits, which represents 132 billions pounds ( 152 billions euros). Despite this turnaround, the CEO stays realistic and careful regarding the results. Indeed, the turnoverof the brand decreased of 3% during the first quarter of the year but is still profitable thanks to an expenditure reduction of 6 6% .

 

 

 

Yoox NAP x IA

Yoox Net à Porter, the world leader of luxury e-commerce, launched on November 6 « 8 by Yoox » , a new collection created with the help of an Artificial Intelligence.

The italian group has therefore decided to realize the perfect collection based on their consummers’ expectations. Indeed, the website mixed customers data collected for the past 18 years with data collected by an image and text recognition software based on the behavior of influencers and bloggers. Then, all the data have been analyzed by « predictive indicators of emerging trends in fashion and lifestyle » said Yoox.

Yoox Net à porter  Group, redeemed in May 2018 by the Swiss group Richemont, achieved gross sales of 2.1 billion euros in 2017, rising their turnover by 11.8% compare to the past year.

 

Louis XIII launched a connected crystal decanter.

 

The new « Smart decanter » by the cognac brand Louis XIII will connect clients with the « Louis XIII Society » on their smartphone, a private club where members will have access to an exclusive and customised content.

To do so, the decanter is linked to the NFC technology. The client after taking off the seal will scan the cork. The decanter will be automatically registered with a number. « All Louis XIII decanters will be equiped with this new smart solution in the world. At Louis XIII, we place the client at the center of all our actions, trying to give him the best experience. », declared Ludovic du Plessis, CEO of Louis XIII.

Members will have access to their personnalized decanter engraving, informations on limited editions, an access to private tastings, an access to La Conciergerie to answer all their questions about the brand and its products, and an access to a private community of cognac lovers in the world.

The product will be available on February 2019.  

 

Louis Vuitton x Unicef with « Louis Vuitton for Unicef »

On November 20 2018, on Children’s day, Louis Vuitton will launch its new bracelet. A part of its benefits will be given to the Unicef.

The idea is supported by the famous actress Sophie Turner, aka Sansa Stark in the tv show « Games of Thrones ». The bracelet, symbol of luck, is made with braided white and red cords and  with a small charm’s in the form of a rabbit, considered as a fortune animal. The bracelet fasterner is the Louis Vuitton’s padlock.

The bracelet will be available on the brand website and in more than 160 stores worlwide for 300 euros. 100 euros will be given to Unicef.

 

 

 

Balmain launched an exclusive capsule collection for MyTheresa.

The website MyTherasa.com and Balmain launched a women capsule collection, essentially in tweed. All the products have been revealed on November 7, on the website www.mytheresa.com.

MyTheresa.com offers, all year long, ready-to-wear pieces of clothing and accessories from the most famous luxury Houses. This time, the collaboration with Balmain, supported by Olivier Rousteing is a chic and sexy winter collection.

Ten pieces of workwear compose this collection, reproducing classic pieces of the House with glamour. All of them are created with metal silver-white tweed, in the same spirit of the last collection, with details and finishing touches of gold.

The collection proposes a curved blazer, one of the most famous creation of Balmain,  two mini skirts, a sweatshirt, a printed-cotton t-shirt and several dresses. Prices range from 195€ and 1790€.
