From April 9 to 15, professionals from the world of watchmaking gather at the Watches and Wonders Show at Palexpo in Geneva. The emblematic Maestro case
After participating in the design of iconic watches such as Patek Philippe‘s Nautilus and Audemars Piguet‘s Royal Oak, Gérald Charles Genta (the man behind Vaucher movements) launched his own watch manufacture, named…Gerald Charles, in 2000. A few years later, he unveiled what was to become the Maison’s signature model: the Maestro. With its innovative case shape featuring a smile at 6 o’clock, this timepiece was the starting point for numerous variations imagined by Gerald Charles over the years.
The new Masterlink, a legacy of innovation
Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2024, the Masterlink watch marks a new chapter in the history of Gerald Charles. The watch’s design is a continuation of the Maestro case, but with an even more contemporary twist. The Masterlink’s modernity comes above all from its integrated asymmetrical metal bracelet.

Despite the apparent simplicity of its design, it is a real technical achievement: despite its screw-down crown, the dial retains an astonishing slimness of 7.99 mm. A feat achieved by the Italian team at its helm, comprising CEO Federico Ziviani and Creative Director Octavio Garcia.
