Snapchat announced a few days ago the launch of Ray Tracing, a new realistic technology, using augmented reality filters.

Always more news and innovations for the application with the little ghost. Snapchat is constantly trying to renew itself, and this is done by creating concepts such as its latest, Ray Tracing.

Wishing to make the experience of AR Lens (augmented reality filters) even more realistic, the platform has introduced Ray Tracing, which consists of trying products before buying them via the application.

Previously used mainly in video games to enhance graphics, Ray Tracing technology allows virtual light rays to reflect off digital objects, creating realistic reflections. As a result, you don’t have to go shopping anymore! Snapchat Lens now allows you to safely try on products from your couch.

And who better than Tiffany & Co, the famous prestige jeweler, as the first partner? The Californian social network has developed for the occasion the Lense Tiffany Lock, the first one developed with Ray Tracing.

After jewelry, clothing and accessories, what will be the next Snapchat Lens?
