Paris: Jacquemus sets up shop on avenue Montaigne for a pop-up

Simon Porte Jacquemus will open an ephemeral store in the heart of the French capital from September 27, the opening date of Paris Fashion Week.

A post by Simon Porte Jacquemus on Instagram this Wednesday, September 7, was enough for the networks to go wild.

The famous designer has indeed announced the opening of a temporary store “Jacquemus” in Paris from September 27, the opening date of the next Paris Fashion Week.

All the rumors were true. Back to the street where it all began,” he wrote in a “story” on Instagram announcing the news.

The brand is indeed planning to open a space of nearly 300 square meters, spread over two floors.  This one will sell items of all categories, including ready-to-wear pieces from the latest collection “The Paper“, presented in June.

This brand new pop-up will be located on the prestigious Avenue Montaigne, known for hosting the most beautiful luxury boutiques in the capital.

A symbolic place for the brand, which twelve years ago, presented its first street show, “Ouvrière“. And during which the models paraded with banners that read “Jacquemus on strike“.

According to a spokesperson for the brand, the project will be as creative as the former concept stores of Simon Porte Jacquemus. In 2021, prior to Milan and London last February and March, the 32-year-old designer unveiled a selection of exclusive pieces in Paris, including handbags, available for purchase from 24-hour fuchsia-pink vending machines.

According to Business of Fashion, the pop-up is scheduled to run for five months, but no closing date has been announced. “We remain open to all options,” a Jacquemus spokesperson said. Could this short-lived store make way for a permanent unit? The new darling of fashion who married this summer, has in any case not finished to make talk about him. Case to follow.
