We’ve been waiting for details for nearly a year…

 

Google’s first branded smart glasses will bear the well-known name of Gucci and are set to debut “likely next year, in 2027,” according to Luca de Meo. The CEO of Kering, owner of the famous brand with the double G logo, confirmed this on April 16 in an interview with Reuters.

 

A partnership with Kering Eyewear formed a year ago

 

The announcement is thus part of the partnership formed in May 2025 between Google and Kering Eyewear, the luxury group’s eyewear division, to develop smart glasses.
