By announcing the appointment of Demna Gvasalia as its artistic director, the flagship brand of the Kering group is reviving the tradition of star designers. And this, after two virtual unknowns, Alessandro Michele and Sabato de Sarno, even if the former was finally thrust into the limelight thanks to the dazzling success of his flamboyant collections.

Today, Kering is counting on the highly charismatic Demna Gvasalia to restore Gucci to its former glory. Gucci is in need of a wake-up call to regain its dynamism, after several seasons of decline.
