The French Leather Goods Federation has appointed Frédérique Laval as its new president, succeeding Arnaud Haefelin, who served as president from 2015 to 2019 and then from 2021 to 2025.
Now the leading organization in the industry, with 89.72% representation among employers, the French Leather Goods Federation reaffirms its role as the sector’s leading organization.
And the appointment of Frédérique Laval as the new president reflects the federation’s commitment to long-term growth, with the goal of strengthening its role alongside companies to address the sector’s challenges.
The end of a decade under the oresidency of Arnaud Haefelin
This appointment also marks the end of the term of its former president, Arnaud Haefelin, after a decade at the helm of the federation characterized by the structuring and strengthening of the sector’s representation.
Under his presidency, several key initiatives were launched, including the creation of theLeather Goods Observatory and the organization of numerous workshop visits with members of parliament to promote the leather goods industry in France and internationally.
