Mercedes-Benz recalls nearly one million vehicles worldwide

German premium car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has begun a recall of nearly one million vehicles worldwide. The cause? A potential problem in the brake system detected.

 

In a statement released on Wednesday June 1, by the German manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz explains that it is the brake servo present on these cars that is at fault, a braking system that assists the driver to reduce his effort when braking.

 

The German Federal Transport Authority (KBA), for its part, gave further details on the problem: “Corrosion of the brake servo can, in the worst case, cause a break in the connection between the brake pedal and the braking system. In this case, the service brake may stop working,” he said.
