Widely known and widespread, connected watches and bracelets are no longer to be introduced. However, a similar technology has been trying to impose and assert itself for several years: the connected ring. Answers on the interest of this technology and its future.

In 1982, the first watch with memory was presented to the general public: the Pulsar NL-C01, marketed by Seiko. The 1990s will experience the release of several watches on which you can send messages or connect to a computer. However, it was not until the 2010s and the popularization of smartphones that the first “smartwatches” appeared.

 

More recently, seeing that the market for connected watches and bracelets is becoming more and more flourishing, the idea of a connected ring is born. Namely, the consulting firm Counterpoint Research has recorded a record year of 2021 for the global connected watch market: a growth of 24% from 2020.
