Luxury hotels : the Accor group announces the launch of “Emblems Collection”

Leading global hotel group Accor has announced the launch of the Emblems Collection, a unique global portfolio of boutique hotels and luxury resorts.
The first Emblems Collection property to open is the Guiyang Art Centre Hotel. This luxury hotel will be located in the Chinese province of Guizhou and is scheduled to open in December next year.
“China is one of the most important hotel markets in the world. It is the perfect place for Accor to launch its new luxury brand, and we are honored to be working with our trusted partner, HLC Group, on this historic project. HLC is a respected employer in Guizhou province and recognized as one of China’s top private companies, and we are delighted to partner with them to bring our shared vision of the new Emblems Collection Hotel in Guiyang to life,” said Gary Rosen, CEO, Greater China, Accor.
The hotel will feature 64 luxury suites in a lush landscape and an atmosphere dedicated to well-being and serenity. Guests will be able to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, gourmet bars and restaurant, and two ballrooms to celebrate events.
“Emblems Collection adds a fresh and exciting new dimension to Accor’s luxury offerings. A key focus of our growth and development strategy is to add aggressively across our strongest lines and leading business accelerators, which includes luxury as well as collection brands, while ensuring all 40+ brands in our global network continue to grow, evolve and flourish,” said Sébastien Bazin, President and CEO of Accor. said Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor.
“The hotels we will feature in Emblems Collection are those sought out by travelers who appreciate high-end, boutique-style experiences, as well as by hoteliers who cherish the independent brands they’ve built while desiring the benefits that come with a global partner,” he adds.
With the launch of Emblems Collection, Accor has taken inspiration from one of the group’s brands founded in 2008, MGallery Hotel Collection, although the Emblems Collection brand will be more focused on the luxury segment.
Emblems Collection hotels will fall into three categories: Emblems Collection Heritage – hotels that are landmarks in the destination where the hotel is located; Emblems Collection Retreat – properties that focus on serenity and wellness through exceptional surroundings and pampering and wellness experiences; Emblems Collection Signature – hotels that stand out more particularly for their design and aesthetic universe, which are their own and sometimes signed by designers..
The Accor group aims to have 60 hotels by 2030 for its luxury brand worldwide.
