L’Oréal said it was confident in its ability to grow its business this year, despite the impact of COVID-19 outbreak on the global economy.

“We are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of L’Oréal employees as a priority in the countries affected by this health crisis” indicates the brand in a press release.

L’Oréal also indicates that the experience of similar situations in the past (SARS, MERS …) shows that after a big period of turbulence, the consumption of beauty products starts again strongly.

The 2020 outlook communicated in February when its annual results are published are still current.

“Considering that this pandemic and the disturbances it generates will not exceed a few months and will unfold like the previous ones, we are confident in our ability to outperform the beauty market again this year and to achieve another year of growth of turnover and results” said the French group.
