The not-to-be-missed event for connoisseurs and professionals of fine wines returns for another edition. The event, which focuses on tasting wines from around the world, takes place from December 1 to 2 at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris.
Great wines also have their own Fashion Week or Cannes Festival. “Thierry Desseauve, President of Bettane+Desseauve, declared at the launch of Grand Tasting Paris in 2006: “What wine lacks is a festival like those that exist for cinema or music.
The only event of its kind, Grand Tasting Paris showcases vintages honored by the Bettane+Desseauve guide, a benchmark in the wine world.
Over two days, 200 winemakers invite professionals and the general public to discover 1,200 wines.
The event offers an opportunity to taste the world’s finest wines, from the most renowned to the most confidential. Focusing on the different regions and terroirs of France (Bordeaux, Champagne, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Alsace, Corsica…), the selection is completed by some fifty names from abroad. These include wines from Italy, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, Lebanon, Australia and Spain. Japanese sake is also represented.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet the winemakers.
