Pininfarina revisits the Batmobile in two hypercars

Pininfarina reinvents the Batmobile with two new hypercars named “Gotham” and “Dark Knight”, based on the B95 Barchetta and Battista GT models. They are inspired by the world of Bruce Wayne, the billionaire who dons the Batman costume in the famous comic books. These two unique hypercars will be presented this summer at an exclusive invitation-only event in New York.

Italian automaker Automobili Pininfarina, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and Relevance International, presented two new models of luxury electric cars on May 1, inspired by Bruce Wayne, the iconic character launched in 1939 in the DC Comics universe.

In the Batman universe, Bruce Wayne is a tycoon running a vast industrial group, who transforms into a fearsome masked vigilante by night. The “Dark Knight’s” strength lies not in supernatural powers, but in his intensive training and cutting-edge technology, including his Batmobile and Batwing.

Pininfarina’s unique “Gotham” and “Dark Knight” creations thus represent a fusion of luxury, innovation and the timeless appeal associated with one of pop culture’s most iconic figures.

The Italian firm has created two highly exclusive versions of its B95 Barchetta and Battista GT hypercars, incorporating design elements and technologies inspired by the world of Bruce Wayne. The Gotham specification evokes the billionaire’s discreet refinement by day, while the Dark Knight version plunges its owners into the darkness of night, reflecting Bruce Wayne’s nocturnal alter ego.

The B95 and Battista models are powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery and four electric motors, one per wheel, making them all-wheel-drive vehicles with a combined output of 1,900 hp. At the front, two 450 kW (612 hp) motors with 900 Nm of torque are installed. At the rear, two electric blocks deliver 250 kW (340 hp) and 280 Nm of torque. The T-shaped battery is housed in the central tunnel and has a capacity of 120 kWh, offering a theoretical range of 500 km.
