La Vaisselle des Chefs returns to Paris in February 2026

The second Parisian edition of this charity sale of second-hand tableware and decorative items from the finest establishments will be held on February 7 and 8 in the fifteenth arrondissement. Thanks to a partnership with the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation, part of the proceeds will be used to train young people in difficulty in the restaurant trade.

Decorate your table beautifully, sometimes for very little money, while supporting a good cause!

This is the successful venture launched in 2015 by Florence Daveau and Frédérique Belhomme from Lyon, originally organizers of gastronomic events, who came up with the concept of an eco-friendly charity sale, “La Vaisselle des Chefs”.

Virtuous in more ways than one

“Born out of a desire to combine social commitment, responsible consumption, and a celebration of French craftsmanship,” the idea is virtuous in more ways than one. It allows prestigious establishments to “lighten” their stocks of unused tableware and decorative items; it gives the general public access to these items, which have interesting stories behind them, at affordable prices (starting at €10, but much more for exceptional pieces); and finally, it provides partner associations with a small windfall.

After several editions in the capital of Gaul, the mecca of French gastronomy, in Bordeaux, Strasbourg, and a grand premiere in February 2025 in Paris, this unique sale returns to the capital for the second time on February 7 and 8, 2026.

Once again in association with the Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation, and with the support of numerous volunteers, it will be held once again at Césure, a third place dedicated to transmission, located at 13 rue de Santeuil, in the 5th arrondissement (Censier-Daubenton or Campo-Formio metro stations).

20,000 items

This new Parisian sale will be even bigger, with 20,000 items, twice as many as in 2025, including tableware, glassware, cutlery, silverware, accessories, and even furniture.

All of the items have been provided by an even larger number of major brands, prestigious brasseries, and other renowned chefs’ kitchens.

The Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, Le Café de la Paix, Le Mandarin Oriental Paris, Le Scribe Paris Opéra, ARMANI CAFÉ, and MORI VENICE CAFÉ are joining the 2026 edition. Meanwhile, the restaurants Les Deux Magots, Le Plaza Athénée, Le Meurice, Lucas Carton, and the historic brasseries La Brasserie Bofinger and Bert’s from the Bertrand Hospitality group are back for more!

The only slight departure from the “second-hand” concept is the return of Jars Céramistes, with “superb exclusive tableware created in collaboration with leading chefs.”

Training young people in difficulty in the restaurant trade

The fact that part of the proceeds will go to the Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil also makes perfect sense in the world of gastronomy: these funds will be used to finance training in the restaurant trade for young people in difficulty.

Be warned, there are likely to be even more enthusiasts attending this new Paris sale. To make sure you don’t miss out, book your ticket from January 5, 2026, at www.lavaisselledeschefs.com or www.instagram.com/lavaisselledeschefs/. For a modest fee of €5 (free for accompanied children under 18) on Saturday and €4 on Sunday morning, with free admission on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., a wide selection of items (including some truly exceptional ones) will be on offer, while on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors will be able to take advantage of some real bargains at very low prices.

Recalling that “according to the Observatory of Responsible Consumption, 7 out of 10 French people bought at least one second-hand item in 2023,” the organizers emphasize that by “putting high-quality tableware back into circulation, the event helps reduce waste while democratizing reuse.”
