Luxus+ x MakeUp in Paris : the conference on the art of intentional experience with beauty

On June 17 and 18 2026, MakeUp in Paris invites beauty enthusiasts to the Carrousel du Louvre, in the heart of the French capital. The event will feature conferences dedicated to the issues that will shape the future of beauty, including one by Luxus+ titled “The Conscious Beauty Experience: When Beauty, Health, and Well-Being Become One.”

 

When beauty ceases to be a matter of appearance and becomes a matter of meaning: this is the vision of MakeUp in Paris, which brings together the voices shaping this shift. On June 17 and 18, the Carrousel du Louvre will host this trade show, which has established itself over the years as one of the most influential B2B events in the cosmetics industry.

 

This 2026 edition will bring together, over two days, more than 150 exhibitors from some 30 countries, as well as around 30 speakers from the worlds of beauty, health, luxury, research, and innovation. The program is structured around three main pillars: “Beauty & Identity,” “Formulation & Innovation,” and “Experience & Well-being.”

 

To explore these three topics, several conferences will take place throughout the day, including one organized by Luxus+ titled “The Conscious Beauty Experience: When Beauty, Health, and Well-being Become One.” Scheduled for June 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., the session will bring together several experts: Gaëlle Castex, training manager at Gemology, Claire Domergue, editor-in-chief of Luxus+, Valérie Leduc, angiologist and functional medicine specialist, founder of Maison Epigenetic, and Marta Marcheva, executive director of Sup de Luxe Paris.

 

Together, they will explore the emergence of a more holistic approach to beauty, where the concepts of prevention, vitality, and quality of life are gradually taking precedence over purely aesthetic criteria.

 

Health, Beauty, and Well-being: The New Quest

 

Beauty is no longer a matter of superficiality, but rather a matter of public interest. This interactive session invites participants to reflect on the true meaning of designing for well-being rather than just for appearance, and on how brands, formulators, and experience designers are developing products and services that nourish both the outside and the inside.

 

According to NielsenIQ’s State of Beauty 2025 report, the expansion of beauty into the categories of well-being and daily rituals increases the sector’s value potential by 64%, illustrating the growing convergence between cosmetics, preventive health, and emotional well-being.

 

Today, neurocosmetics target the “skin-brain” connection—a quiet revolution in at-home skincare routines as a form of mindfulness. Thus, the beauty ritual becomes a destination in itself, and prestigious venues have taken this to heart: private clubs, spas, luxury hotels, and wellness centers are undergoing a radical transformation. Gone is the focus on physical well-being; now the emphasis is also on longevity, nutrition, and authentic human connections.

 

The 2026 edition of MakeUp in Paris will also devote significant attention to topics related to new skincare rituals, artificial intelligence, next-generation ingredients, and shifting consumer expectations.
