After Dior, Louis Vuitton (LVMH), and Cartier (Richemont), the string of cyberattacks continues in the luxury sector.
On September 15, the British broadcaster BBC revealed that several flagship brands (Gucci, Balenciaga, Brioni, and Alexander McQueen) belonging to the Kering group had also been the target of customer data breaches.
7.4 million unique email addresses stolen
The BBC was able to communicate with the hackers behind the attack, who explained that they had obtained 7.4 million unique email addresses, using a method similar to that used against many customers of Salesforce, the leading customer relationship management (CRM) company.
