The Pre-Fall collection designed by Jonathan Anderson will be presented on December 4 at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. This marks a historic first for Dior.
This marks the first time the House of Dior has set foot on Irish soil. Since its founding in 1946, the brand had never before held a fashion show in the country. While its main collections are traditionally presented in Paris, Dior regularly chooses iconic destinations for its seasonal collections, such as the Cruise or Pre-Fall lines. Following stops in Los Angeles, Kyoto, Mumbai, Seville, and Drummond Castle in Scotland, Dublin will now host the fashion house for an event centered on heritage and storytelling.
A Historic First in Ireland
The fashion show will take place at Trinity College Dublin, specifically in the Old Library, one of Ireland’s most iconic cultural landmarks. This 18th-century building is famous for its spectacular Long Room—a gallery nearly 65 meters long—its collection of some 200,000 rare books, and the renowned Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript dating from the 9th century.
The choice of this venue is no coincidence. The university is currently undertaking an extensive restoration program estimated at nearly 90 million euros. By hosting the Dior fashion show, the site will gain additional international visibility, highlighting a major historical heritage.
