It was not an easy year for Mercedes Benz : turnover, margins, profitability, all of the group’s indicators are down, which does not reassure analysts for the coming months.
For the 2025 financial year as a whole, Mercedes-Benz’s revenue stood at around €132.2 billion, compared with €145.6 billion in 2024, a decline of more than 9%.
A sharp drop in profits and margins
The extent of the manufacturer’s slowdown in 2025 is extremely worrying : operating profit fell by more than 50% to around €5.8 billion, while net profit almost halved to around €5.3 billion.
This deterioration is part of a trend that began earlier in the year. By the first quarter of 2025, net profit had already fallen by 43%, and this trend continued throughout 2025.
