Coty aims to strengthen its presence in the Indian beauty market

The American group, specialist in Perfumes and Cosmetics, intends to take advantage of the growth and potential of the Indian market in its sector. To boost its presence, it has just appointed a new team with a new sales director. And it has signed a strategic partnership with House of Beauty to successfully launch the Kylie Cosmetics brand on the Asian subcontinent.

 

Coty is already the number one perfume company in India. But it has no intention of stopping there. Today, it is taking a further step to strengthen its presence in Beauty on this booming market.

 

The American group has just made several major announcements designed to fuel its expansion on the sub-continent in the prestige and consumer segments.

 

On the agenda: deployment of a new team, with a new sales director and new premises, and signature of a strategic agreement with distribution and marketing company House of Beauty for the launch of the Kylie Cosmetics brand in India.

 

The idea is to continue the virtuous trajectory largely initiated by the group, which already retails several high-end (Gucci Beauty, Burberry Beauty, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Davidoff) and consumer (Rimmel, MaxFactor, Adidas)…. fragrance and beauty brands in India, with great success: in 2023, its growth soared by 65%! And the idea is not to stop there…

 

A new team

 

At the head of a new team, in a new office, Coty announced on December 12 the appointment of Rizwan Mulla as Business Development Director for India. Formerly of the Chalhoub Group, Rizwan Mulla, who will be based in Mumbai, has 25 years’ experience in business development and marketing.
