Alpina becomes the watch partner of the Val Thorens ski resort

The story between Alpina and Val Thorens continues to grow as the Alpina watchmaking company will now be the watchmaking partner of the French ski resort Val Thorens.
Val Thorens belongs to the 3 Valleys area, the largest ski area in the world with 600km of pistes. In addition, Val Thorens is also the highest resort in Europe, attracting all snow sports enthusiasts. In total, Val Thorens has been voted best resort in the world seven times and best resort in France nine times at the World Ski Awards.
A new prestigious partnership has been established between Alpina and Val Thorens : the story began almost three seasons ago, when Alpina became the official timekeeper of the Skicross World Cup. Val Thorens is the French capital of the discipline and hosts numerous competitions.

This story continues with the Olympic skicross champion from the resort, Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, who has been a member of the Alpina team of athletes since 2017. Alpina will continue to support great athletes and more by becoming the watch partner of Val Thorens for the year 2022.

The object of this collaboration is the Alpina emblem : the Alpiner4 Automatic. When Alpina’s founder, Gottlieb Hauser, laid the foundations in 1938, no one could have imagined that his vision would give birth to almost a century of Swiss Made watchmaking dedicated to sport.
“This year, all white gold and snow enthusiasts are warned in real time of each snowfall thanks to a “Powder Alarm”, redirecting them to a snowcam displaying the time on an Alpina clock representing the dial of its iconic Alpiner4 Automatic watch – and a Salomon ski enabling the quantity of snow that has fallen to be measured. It’s a great way to get your gear on and jump into the powder,” said Alpina.
