What does the Octo Finissimo mean to you?
Octo is probably one of the most extraordinary watchmaking adventures I have ever experienced. In just ten years, we have set a completely new standard in watchmaking, especially with the Octo Finissimo, which has broken seven consecutive world records and received over 60 international awards. This watch has totally reinvented mechanical movements.
What character did you want to bring out in this exceptional watch?
The style of this watch matches that of elegant contemporary gentlemen. What makes the Octo Finissimo a masterpiece is the combination of the pinnacle of Swiss engineering with the unique art of Italian design. I believe that with the Octo Ultra, Bvlgari not only achieves a new world record of finesse, but also a major innovation combining the world of mechanics and the metaverse.
What is your assessment of this 8th world record?
It was an almost impossible challenge, but I am proud that an Italian company has managed to reinvent Swiss watchmaking. Having 22 years of watchmaking experience myself, this is the fulfillment of an impossible dream; and that dream is that Bvlgari will forever be famous for writing some of the most glorious pages in watchmaking.
