Travis Scott’s unique bottle of Cincoro Extra Añejo tequila sold for over $13,000

At the end of September, Cincoro auctioned off the most expensive bottle of tequila to date. A one-of-a-kind piece created in collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, the designer bottle of the typically Mexican drink was sold for £10,000 ($13,500) at the second annual “Annabel’s for the Amazon” gala held at the famous London club Annabel’s.

The American ultra-premium tequila brand, co-founded by Emilia Fazzalari, unveiled its rarest vintage at the latest annual “Annabel’s for the Amazon” gala, a charity event to support the preservation of the Amazon rainforest and essential community projects in the United Kingdom and South America. The result of a collaboration with rapper and producer Travis Scott, the exclusive 1.75-liter bottle of Extra Añejo found a buyer in September for a record £10,000!

All proceeds from the sale of the bottle designed by Travis Scott were dedicated to funding rainforest preservation and reforestation efforts.

This historic auction coincided with Cincoro Tequila’s entry into the UK market. On October 8, the spirits specialist celebrated this major geographical expansion at the Greek and Mediterranean restaurant Bacchanalia Mayfair.

An exceptional cuvée

This rare collaboration between the musician and the tequila brand has resulted in a designer bottle.

Covered in an elegant chocolate brown finish and adorned with personalized gold metallic symbols, the bottle is inspired by Mexican culture in tequila making while reflecting Scott’s characteristic creativity.

The design, which combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary boldness, has resulted in an exclusive piece that will appeal to both spirits enthusiasts and collectors of cultural artifacts.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this cuvée is also exceptional in terms of its contents.

Cincoro Extra Añejo is a rich and complex tequila, aged for over 40 months, well above the industry standard for añejo classifications. Aged in Tennessee whiskey barrels, this tequila develops deep notes of toasted oak, dried fruit, and caramel, with a velvety smoothness that can “rival the best aged cognacs or single malt scotches,” according to the press release.

The brand is benefiting from growing global consumption of tequila as well as a new audience seeking experiences to talk about.

For Cincoro Tequila, as for the musician, this exceptional bottle heralds a partnership that is set to last, particularly through the rapper’s own music label, Cactus Jack Records, which he founded in 2017.

In the shadow of the NBA courts

Cincoro Tequila was born out of a dinner meeting between five NBA team owners: Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of the Celtics (Boston), Jeanie Buss of the Lakers (Los Angeles), Michael Jordan of the Hornets (Charlotte), and Wes Edens of the Bucks (Milwaukee).

In addition to basketball, a shared taste for tequila led them to found the Cincoro brand. Combining “cinco” for five and “oro” for gold, its ambition since its creation has been to embody excellence in tequila production.

Blending 100% ripe, high-quality Tequilana Blue Weber agaves from the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, Cincoro offers a range of ultra-premium tequilas with a smooth, rich, and easy-to-drink taste.

The brand has also distinguished itself through the design of its bottles. Inspired by the stature and grace of an agave leaf, the glass structure has five sides, paying tribute to the five founders and their collaborative vision. The distinctive 23-degree angle, a tribute to the iconic jersey number of basketball superstar Michael Jordan, symbolizes greatness and an unwavering determination to be the best.

On the eve of its tenth anniversary in 2026, Cincoro Tequila is making its debut on the UK market. At an evening event celebrating gastronomy, luxury, and tequila held on October 8 at the chic Bacchanalia Mayfair restaurant in London, its co-founder and president, Emilia Fazzalari, hosted a Cincoro Master Class. She presented the brand’s history and distinctive expertise, not to mention its different varieties of tequila (Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo).
