On June 18, the Hôtel de Crillon unveiled a unique exhibition. Created in partnership with the social platform THE SKATEROOM, the project highlights works inspired by skateboarding.
This summer, all of Paris is celebrating sports. Within the iconic Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, skateboarding takes center stage in a groundbreaking exhibition. From June 18 to September 14, the Palace honors this sport, recently included in the Olympic Games, through a collaboration with THE SKATEROOM, a social platform for art and skateboarding.
Visitors can discover artworks using skateboards as canvases, created by renowned artists such as Cindy Sherman, Juergen Teller, Jeff Koons, and Inès Longevial. The exhibition, the fruit of the creative vision of Sarah Andelman, founder of the agency Just an Idea, embodies the ongoing commitment of the Hôtel de Crillon to creativity and solidarity through art. The project design is by Aline Asmar d’Amman, architect and founder of Culture in Architecture, the agency responsible for the recent renovations of the Palace, with pieces selected in collaboration with THE SKATEROOM.
An Exclusive Collection
This immersive experience also provides an opportunity to discover the work of Inès Longevial. The French artist focuses particularly on the art of portraiture, which she masters through her use of colors and a certain poetic touch. As part of the exhibition at the Hôtel de Crillon, the painter has created an exclusive and limited edition. Pieces will be sold at €185 (solo) and €500 (triptych), with 10% of sales going to the social partners of THE SKATEROOM platform.
