The CNC presents the leather professions

The Conseil National du Cuir is participating this year in the Aventure des Métiers, from 25 to 27 November, and the Mondial des Métiers, from 1 to 4 December. This will be the occasion to present its guide “Training for leather professions”.

The Conseil National du Cuir is participating this year in two key events – L’Aventure des Métiers and the Mondial des Métiers – for a sector whose craftsmanship, know-how and exceptional products are recognised throughout the world. Training in leather professions is a priority issue for the future of companies and regions. There are many needs in terms of human resources and qualified jobs in the sector. For example, nearly 4,000 jobs are to be filled each year in the leather goods sector.

The leather professions are numerous, varied, evolving and sometimes unknown. The Conseil National du Cuir will therefore present, on the occasion of these events, its guide to “training for leather professions”. This guide is designed to meet the needs of any professional project, whatever the level of study, through apprenticeship and continuing education. It is designed for young people as well as for working people wishing to evolve or retrain.

On the occasion of L’Aventure des Métiers, the CNC will welcome the Compagnons du Devoir, the Turquetil high school, the Boudard school and the d’Alembert high school on its stand. Discovery workshops, exchanges with the teams, meetings with the students… The show will be an opportunity to discover the training courses and diplomas of the sector offering a wide choice of promising and attractive professions.

For its fourth participation in the Mondial des Métiers, the Conseil National du Cuir will offer demonstrations, quizzes and broadcast company portraits. A 360° immersion will also be possible for those who wish to discover the backstage of the manufacturing workshops.
