After twelve years as CEO, Sascha Moeri will leave Carl F. Bucherer at the end of June. Due to his performance, he was also given responsibility for Bucherer Fine Jewellery in the fall of 2020.
In a recent statement, Guido Zumbühl, CEO of the Bucherer Group, says he deeply regrets Mr. Moeri’s decision.
“He has been a passionate ambassador for our brand and an individual whose enthusiasm was contagious. He has successfully expanded the Carl F. Bucherer brand around the globe, increased awareness of the brand and effectively strengthened its image, and also ensured that our product portfolio is extremely well-positioned for the future,” he adds.
“We would like to thank Sascha Moeri for his extremely valuable efforts and his loyalty, and we wish him only the best going forward and hope that his next steps bring him a great deal of happiness and fulfillment.”
While Moeri has not indicated specifically what he plans to do next, it appears that he is leaving to discover new professional horizons.
“Leaving Bucherer is extremely bittersweet for me,” says Sascha Moeri. ” On the one hand, I have had a wonderful time with the Bucherer Group and I will truly miss my colleagues; on the other, this step allows me to turn one of my long-held personal visions into a reality.”
Mr. Moeri’s former deputy, Uwe Liebminger, will take over the management of Carl F. Bucherer on an interim basis.
He has been responsible for global marketing and product development at Carl F. Bucherer since April 2020, after holding positions at IWC and Breitling.
For his part, Robert Ambord, who has been artistic director of Bucherer Fine Jewellery since August 2021, will take over the management of Bucherer Fine Jewellery on an interim basis.
