2026 World Cup: Louis Vuitton brings luxury to the field

On July 14, Louis Vuitton unveiled its new case for the 2026 World Cup trophy to the world. This collaboration marks a new milestone in its partnership with FIFA.

 

FIFA is on the move. Following an initial collaboration in 2010, the 2026 edition marks the fifth trunk created by Louis Vuitton for the World Cup.

 

In fact, for more than 15 years, the presentation of the trophy in a Louis Vuitton trunk has become one of the most iconic moments of the ceremony preceding the final. More than just an exceptional object, this trunk illustrates the growing role of luxury houses in major sporting events around the world.

 

Made in France

 

Crafted in the brand’s historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine—where Louis Vuitton has been fulfilling special orders since the 19th century—this piece embodies French craftsmanship and the “made in France” ethos. Handcrafted by the brand’s artisans using traditional trunk-making techniques, this creation draws on the brand’s original design codes.
