The Art Paris Salon is back from April 4th to 7th. Under the vault of the ephemeral Grand Palais, over 900 artists will gather for this cultural event.
The spring season brings its share of delights. Highly anticipated by art enthusiasts and professionals alike, the Art Paris Salon returns for its 26th edition. From April 4th to 7th, the cultural event takes place at the ephemeral Grand Palais. In total, 136 art galleries from 25 different countries will be present to showcase the best of modern and contemporary art.
Two Themes
This new edition is organized around two themes, “Fragile Utopias” and “Art and Craft”. The first, conceived by Éric de Chassey, General Director of the National Institute of Art History, proposes a reflection on how art can address contemporary issues. Through this initiative, the works of 21 French artists will be honored.
On the other hand, “Art and Craft” aims to highlight craftsmanship. Nicolas Trembley, also the curator of the exhibition, aims to emphasize the importance of traditional know-how and its use in contemporary art.
New Talents
The Art Paris Salon aims to support emerging talents. With 60% of French exhibitors and 40% foreigners, the fair asserts its desire to showcase the richness of galleries in France, whether they are well-established names in the industry or recently founded structures. Thanks to the Promises sector, young gallery owners can showcase their tastes by presenting three of their artists. This initiative promotes the dynamism of the cultural scene and offers visibility to the new generation.
