The Accor Group acquires Paris Society

Accor, the French leader in luxury hotels, has just acquired the entire Paris Society group, a heavyweight in the capital’s trendiest restaurants.

The group that owns luxury hotels around the world is not unknown to Paris Society. Since 2017, it was already a shareholder of the latter up to 38%. It has therefore just bought the entire capital for a sum of 330 million euros.

Currently employing more than 3,000 people, Paris Society, which specializes in trendy restaurants and events, has around 50 establishments such as the Gigi restaurants in Paris, Val d’Isère and Ramatuelle, Coco in the heart of the Garnier Opera House, Bonnie at the top of the SO/Paris hotel, Giraffe at the Cité de l’architecture in Paris, Maison Russe and Apicius. But also clubs and nightclubs like Rasputin and Chez Castel as well as guinguettes and event spaces.

Even after the acquisition of the Accor group, the management of Paris Society, headed by Laurent de Gourcuff, founder and president of the group, should remain the same. According to the website Les Echos, it is expected to increase the number of openings in France and internationally, with some 30 establishments to come in the next three or four years.

This acquisition allows Accor to continue to diversify and to position itself in new sectors, such as restaurants and entertainment. This renewal is also reflected in the upcoming reopening of the Lido, renamed the Lido 2 Paris, which the group already owned.
