Given the news related to the health crisis, Gainerie 91 has decided to propose a new schedule for the 2021 edition of the Design Contest. Thus, the deadline for submitting entries, initially set for April 30, has been pushed back to May 28, 2021.
Recognized for its unique know-how, and with more than 50 years of experience in luxury packaging, the Gainerie 91 group puts its passion at the service of the most prestigious Houses such as Chaumet, Boucheron, Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels and many others. Thanks to its annual competition, the group also offers an opportunity to students from schools in France to get known and excel in this field. After the success of the 2020 edition and for the 8th consecutive year, Gainerie 91 renews its design contest, with the theme “When packaging tells… “.
The objective of this 2021 edition is to imagine and design a case, a box or a POS, telling the story of a brand, sharing its values and commitments, facilitating the understanding of the product and its inclusion in the luxury universe. Each of the projects can be related to the following sectors: watchmaking, jewelry, perfumes, cosmetics, small leather goods, as well as wines and spirits.
“Since 2014, the Design de Gainerie 91 competition has been shaking up the codes of luxury and offering students from schools in France an opportunity to compete for innovative projects. This initiative has the ambition to serve as a springboard for young creative people, the winners will see their project realized in our workshops “, said Arnaud Haefelin, CEO of Gainerie 91 group.
For the first time this year, the Design 2021 Competition of Gainerie 91 has been forced to change its schedule due to the health crisis. Thus, the submission of projects will remain open until May 28, 2021, and their pre-selection will take place on June 3, 2021. It will be possible to vote for the public prize on June 7, and the jury will select the winners ten days later, on June 17. Finally, the competition awards ceremony will be held after school, on September 16, 2021.
