The time has come for Chanel to unveil its latest watch creation. This exclusive collection, called “Mademoiselle Privé Pique-Aiguilles,” pays tribute to the house’s history.

It has five jewelry watches with a domed dial, referring to the needle cushion Gabrielle Chanel always wore on her wrist.

Arnaud Chastaingt, director of the Chanel watch creation studio, explains that this fundamental tool of a designer’s know-how was particularly inspiring: “I adopted the spirit of this tool to create a watch. If its architecture has the audacity of simplicity, its oversized dial plays the excesses and offers an incredible surface of expression. I dreamed of this creation as a blank canvas for the most daring crafts.”

He thus designed five paintings for this collection: the “Perles” watch showcases the brand’s key jewels, which are long necklaces, braided chains, and Byzantine brooches; the “Lace” watch refers to the symbolic camellias; the timepiece “Tweed” recalls the fabric dear to Coco Chanel; the “Matelassé” decoration, the iconic bags and finally, the “Broderie” watch highlights the creation of a black fabric jacket embroidered with sequins. To buy one of these exceptional watches, it will cost between €175,000 and €250,000
