Rémy Cointreau launches its Haute Parfumerie division

Specialising in highly sought-after spirits, the Rémy Cointreau group is now trying its hand at Haute Parfumerie with its new brand: Maison Psyché.
The Rémy Cointreau group is now taking a bold step by launching itself into Haute Parfumerie. Maison Psyché is thus the meeting point between exceptional terroirs and the alchemy of know-how.
The myth of Love and Psyche inspired the name of this new House. In ancient art, Psyche is traditionally represented with butterfly wings, the symbol of the soul and of the metamorphosis towards eternal happiness.
The metamorphosis is precisely the founding subject of the House: that of perfumes magnified by their long maturation in oak barrels. This process, unequalled in the world of Haute Parfumerie, provides a unique aromatic richness and a singular olfactory signature.
Maison Psyché is the result of a partnership between Baptiste Loiseau, Cellar Master at Maison Rémy Martin, and Sophie Labbé, Senior Perfumer at Firmenich, a fragrance and flavour creation company founded in Geneva in 1895. “Maison Psyché was born out of our shared passion for the terroirs and ancestral know-how, both in Cognac and in more distant lands where the most beautiful raw materials for perfumery flourish,” they say.
“The creations of Maison Psyché are a natural extension of our activities. They are based on the specific know-how of blending and ageing specific to the world of spirits to sublimate the noblest raw materials of perfumery and create new essences. Maison Psyché is a bridge between two worlds: that of Haute Parfumerie and that of spirits. It is a bold project that places terroirs, people and time at its heart,” explains Eric Vallat, Managing Director of the Rémy Cointreau Group.
The bottles of Maison Psyché perfumes are made of Baccarat crystal, adorned with gold and sometimes diamonds, numbered and available in very limited quantities.
