In less than ten years, the four major tennis tournaments have seen their revenues skyrocket. Record prize money, international sponsors, global audiences, and massive tourism benefits : the Grand Slams have become true multinationals in the worlds of sports and entertainment.

 

Every year, for a few weeks, Melbourne, Paris, London, and New York become the center of the tennis world. But behind the beauty of the sport, the Grand Slam tournaments have become colossal money-making machines…

 

Together, the Grand Slams now generate more than $1.5 billion in combined revenue each year.

 

 

 

Wimbledon, the most profitable tennis tournament

 

The London tournament remains the absolute benchmark for global tennis in economic terms : Wimbledon generated over 590 million euros in revenue in 2025. The British tournament has also attracted the most prestigious sponsors, with long-standing partners such as Rolex, Barclays, Emirates, and Ralph Lauren.

 

According to several marketing estimates, Wimbledon is also said to have generated nearly 115 million euros in sponsorship revenue in 2025. The tournament’s strategy is based on an ultra-premium image, limited advertising, and exclusive partnerships that reinforce its luxury positioning in global sports.
