22French group Pernod Ricard has announced the sale of its sparkling wine business in the United States, including the Mumm Sparkling California, Mumm Napa, and DVX brands, to the American group Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits.
This transaction between Pernod Ricard and Trinchero Family Wine, which is expected to be finalized in spring 2026, marks an important step in the French spirits giant’s portfolio realignment strategy.
A targeted divestiture to refocus priorities
The agreement between Pernod Ricard and Trinchero provides that the latter will become the exclusive owner of sparkling wine brands (excluding champagne) in the North American market, as well as the holder of production, marketing, and distribution rights in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and several Caribbean markets.
