After bags, glasses. Maison Patou (relaunched by LVMH in 2019) is seeking to rejuvenate and diversify by exploring new universes. The latest? Glasses. To do so, the label has joined forces with the sports equipment manufacturer Bollé.
When the Parisian chic of Patou meets the sporting world of Bollé. The fashion house, under the artistic direction of Guillaume Henry, and the sports equipment company – specializing in skiing, cycling and water sports – have joined forces to create a line of sunglasses that oscillates between futurism, sport and trend.
This line includes three pairs of glasses, and made its first appearance on the catwalk of the latest Patou fall-winter 2023 fashion show at La Samaritaine.
This blend of worlds and know-how gives rise to a sporty and chic aesthetic that is as fashionable as it is functional. On the beach or on a bike, they can be worn anytime, anywhere.
To do this, Guillaume Henry delved back into the Bollé archives, choosing to reinterpret the Micro Edge. Available in three colors – Alaska Blue, Avalanche and Black– these glasses “adapt to all environments, for summer vacations as well as for the start of the school year,” as stated in the LVMH group press release.
The Bollé logo appears on the temples, while the Patou logo is displayed on the lenses.
After accessories and glasses, the Patou fashion house wants to continue developing its accessories category by collaborating with French brands. In this new sporty partnership, “it found it interesting to combine the two brands to mix a lifestyle and sporty side with the elegance and sophistication of the Patou style,” said a member of the Patou team.
They are now available on the websites of both partners, at a price of 295 euros.
