Paris Men’s Fashion Week: the first news are out

Paris Fashion Week for Men, which will take place from June, 22th to 27th, has just unveiled its provisional show schedule. On the programme: 39 shows are planned and 72 brands will be present.

Pending 100% confirmation, the Fédération de la Haute-Couture et de la Mode, the parent organisation of Paris Fashion Week, has given several details regarding the organisation, the brands present as well as the potential sanitary measures that will be employed at the event.

Firstly, the parisian Fashion Week dedicated to men’s fashion will start with Wales Bonner, a brand created by London-based designer Grace Wales Bonner, who has been recognised as the most influential British tailor of the last ten years.

Among the 72 brands on the programme, several regulars of Paris Fashion Week such as Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Ami or Comme des Garçons will be on show in June. Also, many international brands and designers who are expected to be there will be present. From Louis Vuitton to Dior Homme, Hermès or Issey Miyake, these houses will not fail to answer the call.

However, a small peculiarity of this upcoming Fashion Week is that five emerging brands, some French and others Canadian or British, have managed to secure slots on the official calendar for the presentation of their collections. They are Courrèges, Georges Wendell, Gravalot, Jan-Jan Van Essche and Mr. Saturday.

However, the FHCM said that the final format of the many shows scheduled for the week is yet to be confirmed.

The formats will be specified when the final calendar is published“, the Federation said. The houses will probably decide in the coming weeks whether they will opt for live videos, phygital events – the fusion of digital and physical formats -, closed-door shows or hybrid formats. To be continued…
