Nina Métayer, the world’s first female pastry chef

At just 35 years of age, Nina Métayer has just been voted best pastry chef in the world by the International Union of Bakers and Pastry Chefs. A milestone in history, as the Frenchwoman officially becomes the first woman to win this title.

 

And she’s French!

 

Nina Métayer is the world’s best pastry chef (World Confectioner 2023), according to the International Union of Bakers and Confectioners (Union internationale des boulangers et pâtissiers – UBIC).

 

The award was presented on Wednesday October 25 at the International Bakery and Confectionery Industry Trade Fair in Munich, Germany.
