Mas Candille in Mougins becomes the first Clarins-branded hotel

Well-known establishment in the hinterland of Cannes, the Mas Candille reopens its doors. It is the first hotel of the Clarins brand, born from an alliance between entrepreneur Jean-Philippe Cartier and the Courtin-Clarins family.

Nestled on the heights of Mougins, a few kilometers from Cannes, lies the Mas Candille hotel. This 5-star establishment unveils itself in a new light after two years of renovation work.

The project was initiated by entrepreneur Jean-Philippe Cartier, owner of the premises since 2020, and the Courtin-Clarins family. All captivated by the beauty of the place and its potential, they endeavored to rethink this institution to bring it into a more contemporary dimension. The Mas Candille thus presents itself as the first hotel of the Clarins brand.

A New Architectural Identity

To revive this well-known address in the hinterland of Cannes, the reins were entrusted to interior designer Hugo Toro. A decoration prodigy, the Frenchman signs an ideal marriage between Provençal style and Californian inspiration.

The architect loves to imagine the story of a place and then unravel it. At Mas Candille, he finds his starting point in the form of a palm tree that dominates the hotel’s parking lot. Hugo Toro’s imagination springs into action, deciding that the tree was planted several decades ago by a wealthy American who fell in love with France. A fantasy that echoes the hills of Grasse, whose curves the hotel’s guests can admire, reminiscent of the Hills of Los Angeles.

The hotel is characterized by a palette of warm and muted colors, enhanced by countless objects and furniture curated by the architect and his mother. The ensemble is eclectic, far from the minimalism favored by some modern establishments. Throughout its 41 rooms and six suites, Mas Candille transports its visitors to a sunny and welcoming universe.

A Space by Clarins

While some may be content to lounge by the pool, others will be seduced by the prospect of a beauty break by Clarins. Accustomed to investing in the spas of hotel establishments, the French brand is proud to operate in “its” hotel today.

The Glow House by Clarins consists of three treatment rooms

For the occasion, Clarins has imagined the concept The Glow House, a 450 m² house located on the Mas Candille estate. This wellness temple is characterized by a holistic approach, where care, sport, and relaxation combine under the expertise of the brand. Facilities such as a sauna, a hammam, and a 25-meter pool, heated all year round, add the finishing touch to this idyllic space. Note that from September, it will be possible to enjoy “Glow Trip” retreats and cures, spread over two or four days.
