L’Art de Recevoir, an exceptional new edition

A new edition of the evening event, The Art of Entertaining, organized by Luxus Plus, took place on May 30. A look back at this exceptional event held at the Pavillon Élysée Té.

 

On Thursday, May 30, an evening dedicated to the Art of Entertaining was held at the prestigious Pavillon Élysée Té in Paris. This event, organized by Luxus+ and Luxus Magazine in collaboration with the Saline royale d’Arc-et-Senans, Lux Lingua, Vinésime, and the Champagne House Barons de Rothschild, offered guests the opportunity to taste exceptional products presented by the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin de Dijon, Elixia, Anis de Flavigny, and Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx. The evening also featured a pop-up exhibition showcasing internationally renowned artist Charles Belle and the latest trends in tableware, in partnership with the Confédération des Arts de la Table.

 

 

Gathering of Luxury and Gastronomy Professionals

 

More than 280 guests from the tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, and lifestyle sectors gathered to enjoy this special evening dedicated to the art of entertaining and gastronomy. During a press conference, more than 15 speakers shared their insights, including inspiring personalities such as Vincent Billard (Hôtel de Crillon), Alain Proust (Comité Colbert), Ludovic Blanquer (Comité Francéclat), Marta Marcheva (Sup de Luxe), and Jean-Luc Valadeau (Le Clair de Plume Gastronomic Restaurant).

For this second edition, the Art of Entertaining aimed to set a high standard on ethical issues. Speakers addressed the current context of diversity, with a focus on talents. The conference also placed particular emphasis on French excellence.

 

Excellence in Tableware

 

During a pop-up exhibition, some of the greatest artisans and designers in the tableware sector unveiled their latest creations, organized around three demonstration tables with a distinctly refined and contemporary style. Guests of the evening had the opportunity to discover exceptional pieces from the porcelain Houses of Jacques Pergay, Maison Maleh, and Sarah-Linda. Plates and accessories were arranged on tables set with the refined linens offered by RKF Luxury Linen, all accompanied by Christofle cutlery and high-end knives from the house of Claude Dozorme. These Houses, both talented and prestigious, create exceptional products that perfectly illustrate the excellence of our art of entertaining.

This event also provided the opportunity to discover the poetic and mysterious nature-inspired paintings of artist Charles Belle. Renowned worldwide, the painter maintains a special connection with the world of gastronomy, which he regularly explores through various collaborative projects.

The Art of Entertaining has established itself as one of the most sought-after events combining networking and multisensory experiences, reaching over 150,000 accounts on social media thanks to the digital campaign alone. This evening is a true catalyst for connections among professionals from various sectors. During this 2024 edition, more than 15 partner companies had the opportunity to establish business relationships with hoteliers such as Hôtel de Crillon, the Ritz, or evens gastronomic restaurants like Le Clair de la Plume.

Becoming the epicenter of meetings and discussions on gastronomy and the French art of living, the Art of Entertaining evening highlighted more than 10 cities, regions, and departments thanks to exhibitors from Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Limoges, Reims, and Thiers. Dijon, International Capital of Gastronomy, was also able to present its gastronomic ecosystem with the presence of its Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin.
