Lacoste has recruited French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos as its new brand ambassador. With just a few weeks to go before the Cannes Film Festival and the start of the Roland Garros tennis tournament, the crocodile-logo fashion label has announced that it is recruiting the star of the film L’Amour Huit to represent its collections worldwide.
Who said Zendaya had a monopoly on the tenniscore trend?
In response to the American star behind the Challengers phenomenon and her tennis-inspired outfits, including her pleated skirt, Lacoste has called on Adèle Exarchopoulos and her disarming naturalness, so rare in the film industry.
The female counterpart to Pierre Niney, who was recruited as an ambassador for the crocodile brand in February 2024, the 31-year-old French actress is responsible for promoting Lacoste’s fashion and accessory collections, with a particular focus on the Lenglen bag, which was released last year.
Ambassador of sporty chic style
For Lacoste, which, in her own words, embodies the “perfect fusion of style and sport,” it was necessary to find an ambassador who could embody the “authenticity and daring spirit” of the brand.
Thierry Guibert, CEO of Lacoste, highlighted Adèle Exarchopoulos’ obvious connection with the DNA of the brand founded by René Lacoste and André Gillier in 1933, saying that “her talent and energy resonate with the values of the House.”
