Kanister: the new collection from Reservoir

The Franco-Swiss watch brand Reservoir continues its development with the launch of the Kanister collection, a 41.5 mm watch in titanium.

The RESERVOIR Kanister collection is inspired by the speedometer of Porsche’s 356 Speedster car. Pastel green minute markers, a red zone, a black dial and a white hand housed in a grade 5 titanium case sign the breathtaking design of this series. Mounted on a leather strap like the bucket seats of the era, the Kanister collection pays homage to the free spirit that animated the 1950s decade. The case contains a second strap, Nato type.

Reservoir watches are generally based on three horological complications: the retrograde minute at 240°, the jumping hour in a window reminiscent of mileage counters, combined with a power reserve, which reproduces the gasoline or oil gauges.

Reservoir has partnered with a Swiss watch development company that specializes in high complication movements. They are made in Chaux-de-Fonds, where dedicated watchmakers design, assemble and ensure the meticulous adjustment of RESERVOIR watches. This novelty is worn on a black leather strap with black stitching, on a pin buckle. The mechanical self-winding movement has a 37-hour power reserve and a screw-in crown, water-resistant to 50 meters.

This new collection adds another nugget to Reservoir’s list of achievements, available from September 2021 for €3,990.
