The Belgian haute couture house owned by the Puig Group has announced the appointment of 33-year-old Belgian Julian Klausner. He had already been working on Dries Van Noten’s women’s collections since 2018.
A smooth handover.
Dries Van Noten is betting on continuity to replace its eponymous founder as creative director, who stepped down last June.
Julian Klausner, his newly-appointed successor, is well equipped to understand and respect the DNA of the haute couture house owned by the Spanish Puig Group.
Like Dries Van Noten, the 33-year-old designer was born in the flat country. After graduating in 2016 from Brussels’ La Cambre school, he began his career as a junior designer working alongside a big name in fashion, in this case John Galliano at Maison Margiela.
