The Swiss trade show ReLuxury is coming to Paris for the first time, at the Carrousel du Louvre, from November 15 to 17. This first-of-its-kind event, organized in partnership with Barnes, the leader in prestige real estate, is dedicated to the second life and circularity of luxury products and prestige goods. Luxus+, the event’s media partner, is offering you the chance to win tickets for the show on its Instagram account.
The Salon will showcase luxury handbags, watches and jewelry, fashion items and accessories , as well as interior design, craftsmen, startups … all linked to the second-hand market.
Showcasing the great initiatives of brands and partners to spread this trend, the Show also aims to raise awareness and reassure customers about the approach.
LUXUS PLUS spoke to Fabienne Lupo, founder of ReLuxury, to find out more about her concept.

Luxus Plus: What is your background?
Fabienne Lupo: I’ve spent over 20 years in the luxury goods industry building foundations and international events to promote the culture, values and know-how of luxury brands, whether with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, Watches & Wonders or the Michelangelo Foundation and its Homo Faber Biennial of Crafts.
Today, it seems crucial to me to promote the life cycle of these products, which are designed and manufactured to last, reinvent themselves and be passed on. Circularity is no longer an option in luxury!
Luxus Plus: How would you describe the Salon ReLuxury experience, with its unique positioning?
Fabienne Lupo: For a long time, second life wasn’t a priority, with brands preferring to devote themselves to creating new collections, constantly reinventing a past that remains the same. ReLuxury is here to enhance this past, to celebrate it, to show that it can be reimagined thanks to the know-how of luxury brands, but also and above all thanks to the genius of craftsmen in restoration, repair and transformation.
But ReLuxury is also about discovering a “new Luxury” that’s more sustainable, more responsible and therefore more circular, with young brands and startups proposing a different way of conceiving and consuming luxury, enabling a whole circular and virtuous ecosystem to blossom.
And of course, ReLuxury is a unique opportunity to find hidden treasures steeped in magnificent histories, whether antique jewelry, vintage watches, luxury handbags, designer silhouettes… Of course, you’ll be able to buy, but also have your objects appraised and valued, or even decide to resell them if you feel like it, with our exhibitors, experts in second life: retailers, platforms, auction houses.
Luxus Plus: How do you explain customers’ growing appetite for second-hand goods? On the other hand, are there any obstacles to adoption?
Fabienne Lupo: Second-hand is a fundamental trend that meets many of the challenges of our time.
Environmental issues, with a planet in danger due, among other things, to insane overconsumption (fast fashion being the second most polluting industry in the world). This is also leading to a growing awareness on the part of younger generations who want to consume less and better.
It also responds to the needs of customers who want to empty their safes and dressing rooms in a tense economic and social context. The low availability of certain new products also favors the second-hand market, as certain “preloved” products are more expensive because they are no longer manufactured and therefore impossible to find.
Second-hand transforms the notion of consumption into investment. It has long been synonymous with lower quality. Now, however, the rise of vintage and its cool attitude make it a positive, modern and responsible trend. It’s been said that 2028 will be the year when more second-hand pieces are sold than new ones.

Luxus Plus: Why did you choose this partnership with Barnes?
Fabienne Lupo: 87% of Barnes’ transactions involve preloved properties: mansions, chalets, castles, vineyards… If there’s one industry that has celebrated the pre-owned and pre-loved for centuries, it’s prestige real estate.
Luxus Plus: Can you explain why this first edition of the show is taking place in Paris?
Fabienne Lupo: Paris is the world capital of luxury, so celebrating “RELUXE” in Paris was an obvious choice, and thanks to our partner Barnes, we were able to benefit from the prestigious setting of the Carrousel du Louvre.
Luxus Plus: How do you explain eBay’s unfailing support for the show?
Fabienne Lupo: eBay is the world’s leading platform for second-hand goods.
They’re investing heavily in the luxury sector, with brands creating their own e-shops on eBay. They have created their Authenticity Guarantee for luxury products sold on the platform, and have invested in Certilogo digital passports.
Their aim is to develop strongly in Europe, and particularly in France, the cradle of luxury. That’s why they’ve been a ReLuxury partner from the outset, with the same ambition of taking the initiative international.
Luxus Plus: What are ReLuxury’s ambitions for the short, medium and long term ?
Fabienne Lupo: We want to become a reference point and a community of interest in the second life and circularity market in luxury goods, by highlighting the important initiatives developed by the Houses and startups, the expertise and reliability of the players in this market: digital platforms, retailers, auction houses and, last but not least, the work and know-how of craftsmen in repair, restoration and transformation.
Above all, it’s about taking this positive, virtuous message out into the world, meeting not only customers but also the players who participate in and contribute to this new cultural and responsible movement known as circularity.
