Hotel group IHG aims to “redefine travel through technology” by optimizing its mobile application. New functionalities continue to be updated on the digital platform with the aim of better meeting customer expectations.
Launched in April 2022, IHG One Rewards is an international points-based loyalty program focused on customer benefits within the IHG hotel group’s portfolio of brands.
In 2023, the group updates its mobile application, to be closer to its customers and their needs.
IHG One Rewards gets a makeover
With a rating approaching five stars on the Apple Store and Android Store, the IHG One Rewards app has clearly achieved its goal of making travelers’ stays easier. In 2023, more than half of the Group’s digital bookings were made via mobile, making it the most relevant channel for building loyalty.
And to further enhance the performance of this application, IHG Hotels & Resorts announced at the end of September that it would be optimized with new features updated weekly.
These include a travel wish list, which can be consulted at any time, and where establishments can be saved. There’s also an automatic Wi-Fi connection once you’ve entered a hotel, and the possibility on the American market of viewing room charges (such as catering and other services) in real time. Last but not least, full room details and personalized accommodation are also available.
