Dior, or more precisely its perfumer-creator François Demachy, has decided to “revisit the classic composition of a ‘tobacco'” by unveiling “Tobacolor”, a fragrance inspired by the “nuances of a fresh tobacco tinged with joyful colours”.

“I wanted to revisit the classic composition of a “tabac” by creating a surprising trail around the paradox of a cold hookah. I coated the characteristic spirit of tobacco smoke with fruity and sweet, warm and joyful notes. Tobacolor is as powerful as it is smiling. It’s an enveloping fragrance, one that is easy to connect with. “

The house describes the composition of the flagrance by its colour contrasts: the “blond hay” of the flouve is tinged with “red and white fruits” (plum and peach) soaked in rum. The “amber heart” combines “absolute black tobacco from Turkey”, mate, and gourmand notes (honey, caramelised chocolate, tonka bean, liquorice).

“Tobacolor is a contrasting fragrance, a hot-cold one that combines the scent of hookah embers with the freshness of fruity notes,” the website says.

The fragrance is available in several formats and exclusively in the brand’s retail outlets.
