The young Lebanese singer, fashion icon and artist with a meteoric rise to fame, has been chosen as the first make-up ambassador by YSL Beauty in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. She appears this month, the month of Ramadan for Muslims, in a campaign showcasing her beauty and that of Arab women in general.
The timing is perfect: in the middle of Ramadan, which began on the evening of February 28th and ends at the end of March, YSL Beauty has just made official the appointment of Lebanese singer Dana Hourani as the first ever make-up ambassador for the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Countries). This is the region that includes Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Known both for her music “with indie pop vibes”, bridging Middle Eastern tradition and Western modernity, Dana Hourani is also known for her own unique style, effortless and yet elegant.
The embodiment of YSL Beauty’s DNA
And for Shireen Abu Hijleh, general manager of the YSL Beauty brand, there is no doubt: she is the right person for the role. “YSL Beauty is delighted to welcome Dana Hourani as the brand’s regional ambassador. Known for her daring spirit, effortlessly captivating music and fearless self-expression, Dana perfectly embodies the DNA of YSL Beauty,“ she says.
