Luxury sports car maker Bugatti just unveiled an electric scooter at CES.

Bugatti unveiled its electric scooter at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the most important show dedicated to technological innovation in consumer electronics, held annually in Las Vegas. Owned for a few months by Rimac (Croatian electric car manufacturer), Bugatti has started its electric transition, even if the expected model was far from looking like a scooter.

The scooter takes the aesthetic codes of the brand, with its famous blue, its rear light signature and of course the Bugatti logos, but goes further, by projecting the EB logo when it runs. It will be available in blue, gray, and black in the usual Bugatti car finishes. The scooter also uses a magnesium alloy on some parts to keep the weight down on the scale.

By partnering with Bytech International, Bugatti wanted to offer a model that was a little more technical than the average, as its 700 Watt motor is capable of taking it to 30 km/h. It has a removable battery of 10 Ah, and benefits from the electronic ABS on the rear wheel. Finally, the manufacturer promises 35 km of autonomy. The price and the marketing date have not yet been communicated by the brand.

In addition, Bugatti said Wednesday on Twitter that it has increased “operating profit in 2021 for the 4th year in a row by achieving record customer orders and deliveries.”
